Food Insecurity Peaks at Christmas

Each year food insecurity is an issue across the world during Christmas time. This year, in lieu of gifts, Wiley donated to Fareshare & KiwiHarvest on behalf of our clients to contribute to breaking food insecurity. Wiley values a sense of community and their missions and visions align so closely to our values. These charities rescue food that would otherwise go to waste and cooks free, nutritious meals for people in crisis. Their vision is for a society where food is not wasted, and no one goes hungry. We are proud to have donated over 2,600 meals to Fareshare and over 400 meals to Kiwiharvest to feed the hungry across Australia and New Zealand.

“We at FareShare are so grateful to the Wiley team for their ongoing support. This gift will allow us to cook 2,625 free, nutritious meals for the most vulnerable members of society, from people sleeping rough, to communities working to rebuild in the aftermath of these devastating bushfires. We couldn’t do what we do without your support; thank you.” – Mary Pope, QLD Development Manager of FareShare.
